Daphne is a normal girl, until she isn't.

At the start of the new school year, her biggest problems are fitting in with her new foster family, making friends at her new school, and maybe even finding a boyfriend.

But then she finds out she's a witch, the witch hunts never really ended, and she and her real mother are being hunted by the descendants of the original witch finders - Hunters – men who will stop at nothing to eradicate witches from the world.

If Daphne has any hope of finding her mother and defending herself against the Hunters, she has to master her powers.

But though she has help from new friends and a boy she finds herself inexplicably drawn towards, she quickly realises no one in this new world of magic is quite who they seem.
